D'Artagnan and the Mermaid

This painting started as a study of an ocean shore during sunset. I originally did these landscape paintings to submit to Disney for a background painter position. After seeing how hard my friends toil there at the mouse factory, I decided that I was happy with my part time graphic design gig (which leaves me time to paint and of course pay my bills). So I decided to add characters to these paintings and this was the first one. The famous musketeer is being seduced by the mermaid (I figure in my mermaid world, mermaids cannot mate with one another and need mortals to reproduce). I guess D'Artagnan is in for some sweet lovin'!
